Addiction is a persistent dependence on a harmful behavior or substance. It can disrupt the ability to listen to the Spirit and limit the use of agency. Many who struggle with an addiction suffer from shame and may feel that recovery is not possible.
We invite you with all our empathy and love to join us in a glorious life of freedom and safety, encircled in the arms of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. We know by our own experience that you can break free from the chains of addiction.
Everyone needs help sometimes. Life is like that. In fact, God planned it to be that way. Mortality presents each of us with a wide variety of experiences, and some are easier to manage than others. No matter the experience, there is always help.
Did you know that some members in the Stockton Stake plant a group garden every summer? If you are interested in participating or learning more about it, please contact your bishop.
